The anatomy of a motorcycle wheel

Understanding the major functional parts of your motorcycle wheels is important. We begin with the outward surface which is the wheel itself — that’s what makes contact with the ground. The wheels rest on rims which helped to give it support and strength. The rim is connected to the central hub assembly via a number of spokes which are oriented in an interlaced pattern. The spokes help to provide strength and support, and as the wheel axle turns the spokes transmit that motion to the rims, thereby causing your wheels to rotate. Finally, at the center, we have Talon hubs, which provide additional support, and where the motion is generated along the wheel axle. As you can see, your wheels are composed of a number of different elements, each of which needs to function properly in order for your wheel to work right.
