Wetsuits are constructed with a stretchy synthetic rubber material. There could be different layers of this material to allow it to be stronger and more secure. The thicker the material the warmer it will keep you while in the water. There are surfing wetsuits that are constructed with zippers and those that have stitches. The suit will expand in water some so when it is fitted it needs to fit pretty snug when it is dry. Wetsuits that have just a zipper can be exhausting getting into. This will insure that you are warm and the tighter the suit the better it will work while in use in the water.
