Harnessing the Wind

My husband and I own a cabin on several acres in Northern Vermont. It’s in a very rural area with no electricity. When we bought the cabin we decided that we would try to generate enough electric for the home with a wind generator. Due to fluctuations in wind speed wind power generators come with transformers which control the voltage level supplied to the grid. We use wind power and have solar panels on our cabin which makes it totally self sufficient energy wise. We’re very glad that our children are being exposed to greener forms of energy too.
