Tropical windows

When we decided to decorate our master bathroom we wanted to do it in a shell motif. I had quite a collection of shells from the Indian Ocean and some beautiful underwater photographs that were made for the bathroom we had in mind. As everything started to flow together we realized that the window coverings did not come close to providing the impact we wanted. Many blinds that we found provided the necessary privacy from the outside but lacked the interior zing we wanted. Bamboo blinds appeared to be the answer. We started with a set of bamboo place mats that became the valences. The blinds followed and perfected the room
