When you travel and stay at hotels you will find that the disabled bathrooms are usually lacking. They do the minimum they can and stay within the letter of the laws passed. The will have hand rails near the toilet and bath. Rarely will they have a walk in shower or walk-in bath. It is a limitation we must try to live with. If I ever were to get wealthy I think I would design disabled bathrooms that would really deal with the challenges the handicapped have to live with. I know at most hotels they just don’t consider it cost effective to do it.
