There are things in life that need our time and critical-mindedness. We are always in the decision making every minute of the day that sometimes it becomes automatic to us to respond to. It may seem counterproductive, but one way to stop a dog’s bad behavior is to ignore it. Why does it work? Dogs simply want our attention, and they do not discriminate between positive and negative attention. If a behavior does not reward a dog with your attention, positive or otherwise, then he will eventually abandon the behavior and find one that does get your attention.

He just learned that to get your attention and to play the new game, he should chew the cushions. This approach works best for dog behavior training when your attention is truly a reward for your dog. Get on his level and really pour it on. Your dog doesn’t have to understand your words to appreciate that you are lavishing praise and love for something he’s done.

I would love to have a wine cellar in my own home.  I always thought if I could buy a home with a basement then I would convert at least half of it to a wine cellar.  I have been to wine valley and taken tours into wine cellars and they are always so interesting.  Once you move behind the wine cellar doors you feel like you are entering a whole new world.  I love knowing that after stepping through the wine cellar doors that I will be among some fantastic tasting wines.  It is the whole wine making process that makes it very special.
