I have been living alone for many years now. One thing that I have never had was a roommate in my house and I wasn’t sure I really wanted one. Last year I had to rethink that position as I was laid off. Because of this I took in a roommate and charged rent. It worked out fairly well and I’m glad I did it. My roommate was with cavalier phone and in addition to having phone service, she had Internet service as well. She let me use her Internet service and I gave her a break on the price of rent.
