Have you noticed how tired the signage is starting to look around the UK’s tourism spots. It’s not so much attractive as off-putting. When the signs look run down and unkempt you just have to wonder about the rest of the attraction. A mouldy cracked sign could well be an indicator of a dirty, unmaintained attraction… and in the case of a theme park, that just can’t be safe! It’s not all bad news, I’ve seen some lovely themed signage too. Some attractions, like Folly Farm and Lego land really put some effort into attractive, colorful signs that the children just love, and to be honest they’re a re-assuring sign to the grownups that someone is looking after the place.
