Looking for more info about how to run your car on water

I would like to find more information about how hard it is to run your car on water. I am hopeful with the prospects of being able to use water, a renewable resource, as fuel for my car however I need help in figuring out how to do it. I have found a few resources which sell instructional guides however, because I don’t have any background in car mechanics I am afraid I may find myself in over my head. The last thing I would want to do is break my car. I am trying to find someone who would be willing to fully inform me on the process and then install the kit for me. Any thoughts?
