I’ve lived all of my life overseas, and let me tell you, it truly is the small pleasures in life that can make all of the difference.  For instance, when I was living overseas, we didn’t have garages like there is in places like the UK and the United States.  That is, if there were any such things as garages around.  But now that I have one, I enjoy it every single time, pulling up to the house, and while I am still 100 feet away, clicking the button on my garage door remote control and just watching the door rise up as I pull in.

Have you noticed how tired the signage is starting to look around the UK’s tourism spots. It’s not so much attractive as off-putting. When the signs look run down and unkempt you just have to wonder about the rest of the attraction. A mouldy cracked sign could well be an indicator of a dirty, unmaintained attraction… and in the case of a theme park, that just can’t be safe! It’s not all bad news, I’ve seen some lovely themed signage too. Some attractions, like Folly Farm and Lego land really put some effort into attractive, colorful signs that the children just love, and to be honest they’re a re-assuring sign to the grownups that someone is looking after the place.

Are they or aren’t they?  Maybe it’s just a huge publicity stunt but I can’t help believing that there must be something going on between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.  Isn’t it ironic that with their new film, “New Moon” in the making they seem to be wallpapering the tabloids.  Hmm, coincidence or massive publicity campaign by their producers, agents and PR machine. Apparently the producers originally banned them from taking their on screen romance further, however it may now be very convenient to have them romantically involved.  On or not it’s really their business and not ours but I sure would like to be a fly on the wall between these two.

I don’t think I can go attend our choir practice at our local church this weekend.  I will be going to somewhere else of a new adventure in jungle camping with my buddies. I know it would be kind of a challenge for me since I don’t really have training about this kind of adventure. But, for sure, the guidance of my professional friends in Abby and George will prove to be of much help. I called Abby last night and we talked about the whole preparation for the said camping.
